Protective Board Connection Instructions

  1. Special Attention:
    • The wire cables from different manufacturers may not adhere to the same standards. Ensure to use matching cables.
    • The colors of B- and P- lines from different manufacturers may differ; pay attention to the B- and P- marks.
  2. Do not insert the cable into the BMS when welding sampling wire cables.
  3. The cable connects the total negative electrode B- from the fine black line. The second wire (red wire) connects to the positive pole of the first string of batteries. Connect each string of batteries' positive electrodes in sequence until reaching the last wire cable of the total positive B+.
  4. After connecting the cable, do not insert the plug into the BMS directly. Measure the voltage between each two adjacent metal terminals on the back of the plug. For:
    • Ternary lithium battery: Voltage should be 3.0~4.15V
    • Iron-lithium battery: Voltage should be 2.5~3.6V
    • Lithium titanate battery: Voltage should be 1.8~2.8V
Ensure the voltage is correct before proceeding to the next step.
  5. Attach the BMS B-line (blue thick line) to the total battery negative electrode. The B-line length should not exceed 40cm.
  6. Insert the wire cable into the BMS.

Post-Connection Checks

  1. Verify whether the voltage of battery B+, B- equals the voltage of B+ and P-. If the voltages are equal, the BMS is functioning normally. If not, recheck the wiring sequence.
  2. The positive electrodes of the charging and discharging ends connect directly to the total positive pole B+ of the battery. The same port BMS's negative charge and discharge poles connect to the BMS's P- point. The branch BMS wiring method connects the charging negative to C- and the discharge negative to P-.
