The SX460 is a high-performance, half-wave phase-controlled thyristor type Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR), integral to the excitation system of a brushless generator.

This AVR not only stabilizes generator voltage but also includes advanced features such as under-speed protection and sensing loss. The power for excitation is sourced directly from the generator terminals.

Ensuring a positive voltage build-up from residual levels, the AVR's power circuitry leverages efficient semiconductors for optimal performance.
